It was another nice night for a paddle, with the river flowing a bit faster than usual it made the race a bit more technical with line selection making a difference on the way up river. Phil Wadley was first over the line with a big win being almost 4 minutes faster. Phil Nelson was next over the line closely followed by Geoff, both faster, by 9 and 4 seconds respectively. Tim just missed out on his PB, with Michael next over the line just getting past Phil Barratt. I was next followed closely by a fast finishing Richard, Claye spent him himself dragging me up the river and had nothing left for the second half of the race. James, April and Paul were all a bit off there normal pace. I must apologise to April for distracting the timekeeper at her start time and sending her off almost a minute late, which has been rectified in the standings.

The end of year BBQ will be on after the race on 19th December, we will have a mass start 4km race from 6:35pm and then enjoy the BBQ. Paid up paddlers will have there BBQ provided.
